was all that remained of Li Tianlang‘s once glorious existence. As Queqiu Tianlang, he had initiated the third cosmic war, battling countless star officials with boundless arrogance as he and his fellow ascendants rose up against their rule. However, defeat reduced him to a star god’s lackey, sealed for 1500 years of oppression on Earth as punishment for his crimes.

Though Li Tianlang now lived as a taciturn high school student, memories of his past life lingered. He had been stripped of his free will and powers, his warrior spirit caged within a mortal body. Likewise, his thirst for vengeance against those who had chained him simmered beneath the surface, awaiting any opportunity to break free.

One day, Li Tianlang overheard a prophecy that the demons of Karma would invade Earth, and only an ascendant could defend humanity. Consequently, he realized this foretold the chance he had awaited to escape Star Prison. When the demons emerged from a portal between realms, Li Tianlang slipped away to face them.

The demons had not expected an ascendant, let alone one of Queqiu Tianlang’s power, to stand in their way. Furthermore, they did not recognize him as the star god’s prisoner. As Li Tianlang cut through their forces, his old skills returned to him, along with the joy of battle.

Finally, Li Tianlang stood before the massive demon that had led the invasion. Upon defeating it,the portal would close, and the remaining demons would retreat. However, Li Tianlang had no intention of sealing it and returning to his cell.

Hurling the demon back through the portal, Li Tianlang leapt in after it into the demon realm. There, his ascendant powers flared back to life, unleashed at last. The demons that had invaded Earth now faced the rage of the warrior they had unwittingly freed. Vengeance was his, and Star Prison could no longer contain him. His rebellion had begun anew.

Queqiu Tianlang had returned, and this time, no one would put him in chains again. The star god’s lackey was no more.
